The bird of the year 2022 is Poppy, who is inspired by the calm and focus that Kay Bojesens was in possession of when he created his designs. It takes focus and immersion to be creative and create, and Poppy us reminds us about that with its muted colors in shades of red that are down to earth and create calm. The body has a deep, burgundy color that is complimented by the head in a beautiful terracotta color, and the shiny, orange legs and beak. Together they give an elegant and harmonious bird with a balanced and classic expression.

Designed in 1950 by Børge Mogensen, Carl Hansen & Søn reintroduced the Huntsman Chair in 2019. Presented for the first time at the Copenhagen Cabinetmakers’ Furniture Guild Exhibition as part of Mogensen’s ‘hunting cabin theme’, the chair is accompanied by the matching Hunting Table.
