Canvas upholstery for the Kaare Klint safari chair, made in Denmark
A complete set of canvas upholstery for the safari chair designed by Kaare Klint (1888-1954) including leather straps with brass buckles. The cushion has cold foam filling. Made in Denmark for Webb's Mid-Century.
Color: Natural canvas and natural leather armrests and leg straps.
Kaare Klint was inspired by the chairs an American photographer and his wife used while on a safari in Africa. The chairs were presumably inspired by Indian Roorkhee chairs which were used by the British army. These type of chairs were amongst the first examples of build-self furniture. This makes it possible to change the upholstery by using a Philips screwdriver.
Made to order: The handling time is currently up to 8 business days.
Note: Screws for the straps not included. Chair not included.
