A childhood companion, a gift remembered for generations.
The Kay Bojesen Rocking Horse has been part of the designer's wooden animal family since 1936. Made from lacquered beech, it brings together imaginative play and enduring Danish design, a meaningful christening or birthday gift with a story that can continue through the family.
For generations, children have climbed aboard and set off towards imaginary horizons. That simple invitation to adventure is at the heart of the Rocking Horse's appeal: a familiar childhood object that can become a treasured reminder of the person who gave it.
At 56 cm high and 86 cm long, this is a full-sized rocking horse rather than a small display figurine. Its presence makes it a distinctive part of a child's room, while its long design history gives it significance for families who value objects to keep and pass on.
