The three waves
Royal Copenhagen's three blue waves were proposed as the factory's trademark in 1775 by Queen Dowager Juliane Marie. They symbolise the Sound, the Great Belt and the Little Belt, Denmark's three main waterways, connecting the piece with the manufacturer's heritage.
