🤍 One sculptural silhouette, three ways to enjoy Danish ceramic design.
Meet Spaltekanden Medium Edition from Spring Copenhagen, a white-glazed ceramic design by Eva Stæhr-Nielsen. Enjoy it as a jug, style it as a vase or let its distinctive shape stand alone as a sculpture. Imagine it beside your favourite books or at the centre of a considered table display, where its unusual neck becomes the detail that draws the eye.
The design's defining feature is its split neck: one section bends forward to form the spout, while the other bends backwards to create the handle. This thoughtful relationship between shape and function gives Spaltekanden its individual character.
The original medium edition was produced by Saxbo from 1933 until its closure in 1968. This Spring Copenhagen edition brings that design heritage into a contemporary home. Choose it as a gift for a ceramics enthusiast, a new-home present or an addition to a Danish-design collection.
Why design lovers choose Spaltekanden:
- 🤍 White-glazed ceramic: an understated finish lets the sculptural form take centre stage.
- ✨ Distinctive split-neck design: the spout and handle emerge from two sections of the neck.
- 🏡 Three display possibilities: enjoy it as a jug, vase or standalone sculpture.
- 📏 18 cm medium edition: a decorative accent for a table, shelf or bookcase.
- 🎁 Designed by Eva Stæhr-Nielsen: a thoughtful gift with Danish ceramic-design heritage.
