A fairy-tale companion with a story of courage and devotion.
The Kay Bojesen Chimney Sweeper brings H.C. Andersen's beloved character into your home. Standing tall with his ladder, shiny uniform buttons, white neck cloth and iconic high hat, he captures the elegance and adventurous spirit of the fairy tale in painted wood.
In The Shepherdess and the Chimney Sweeper, the two sweethearts escape up a chimney rather than accept the marriage chosen for the Shepherdess. When the world beyond proves overwhelming, they return together to find that the old Chinese figure can no longer decide their fate. Their journey becomes a story of courage, devotion and love finding its way.
Kay Bojesen's imaginative wooden universe and H.C. Andersen's storytelling share an enduring appeal across generations. Give the Chimney Sweeper a place on a shelf or sideboard, or pair him with the separately sold Shepherdess as a symbol of love and togetherness. He is a thoughtful wedding or anniversary gift, and a characterful addition for fairy-tale enthusiasts and Danish design collectors.
