The Pepper Bird is a patent-protected pepper mill crafted in mahogany, ash, maple, and walnut — designed by self-taught Danish designer Sven-Erik Tonn-Petersen (Tonn-P) and powered by the Danish-patented Tucan grinding mechanism.
First produced in the late 1950s, it quickly became a favourite in Danish homes before gradually disappearing — only to be eagerly sought out at flea markets and antique stores by design aficionados. When Spring Copenhagen relaunched it in 2015, the Pepper Bird rapidly became a neo-classic.
