A blue Songbird named after the designer himself.
Kay, the Kay Bojesen Songbird, carries a particularly personal story. Named after Kay Bojesen himself, this blue wooden bird celebrates the designer's fondness for the colour and brings a characterful accent to a shelf, desk or Songbird collection.
Blue was a favourite of Kay Bojesen, who was known for his immaculate blue suit, shirt and tie, or his white work smock. The bird bearing his name offers a small connection to the man behind the beloved wooden figures.
Kay Bojesen first designed his colourful Songbirds in the 1950s, but they were not put into production at the time. Made from FSC-certified painted beech and standing 15 cm tall, Kay brings that design heritage into a keepsake to enjoy today.
Choose him as a thoughtful gift for a christening, birthday, graduation, anniversary or wedding, or give him a place in your own collection. Display him on his own or alongside other separately sold Songbirds, letting his blue colour become a familiar part of your home.
