🍽️ A practical trivet with a playful place at the table.
Meet Clumsy Hans from Spring Copenhagen, an oak table trivet designed by Nis Hauge. Imagine setting dinner down on a useful table accessory that doubles as a cheerful sculpture, then exploring a different arrangement while the conversation carries on.
Made from oak and black elastic textile cord, Clumsy Hans combines its everyday job of protecting the table from hot dishes with a design you can arrange in different variations. It is a familiar dining essential with an unconventional, characterful twist.
First produced in 1996 and relaunched in 2016 in collaboration with Nis Hauge, Clumsy Hans was included in the collections of MoMA's design stores in New York and Tokyo in 2017. Choose it as a host gift, a new-home present or a practical addition to a Danish-design collection.
